G'day Golfers,
Last weekend a delegation of nine IGAV members traveled to
Bairnsdale to compete in two events. On Saturday, we played in
the Bairnsdale Golf Club daily event. The day started with some
clouds, but still warm. After nine holes the rain started and
it didn't stop!
In the weather, our group were reasonably solid. So we had
Jayden Smith hit nearest the pin in two shots on a hard dogleg
left par four. It was an excellent shot. Well done Jayden.
The scores overall were a bit lacking, however our President,
John, and Brett Lineham both won a ball with their score. Again,
well done.
On Sunday we played the Albert Mullet challenge match with South
Pines Golf Club. So there was better weather, and IGAV members
made a good account of themselves. We were good enough to come
second! IGAV's aggregate score was 251 and South Pines, 254
stableford points. Well done South Pines
We are already looking forward to 2019 and taking on the South
Pines mob.
